Our Story

Some love stories begin in unexpected places — ours began in Toronto, Canada, over a plate of Brazilian food and a couple of caipirinhas. Felipe, born and raised in the vibrant heart of São Paulo, and Tivola, who carries the warmth and colour of Mumbai wherever she goes, found each other far from home — and somehow, that made it all the more special.

Our first date was at a Brazilian restaurant in Toronto, where the caipirinhas flowed, the conversation came easy, and neither of us wanted the evening to end. What started that night grew into a friendship, then a love, and then a life built together in the city we now call home.

Through the years, we have laughed in two languages, celebrated in two cultures, and learned that the distance between São Paulo and Mumbai is not so great when your hearts are in the same place. Toronto became the backdrop of our love story — but Brazil and India have always been in it, woven into who we are and how we love.

Now, as we prepare to say “I do,” we want to celebrate with everyone who has been part of this journey — from Canada to Brazil to India and everywhere in between. This wedding is the union of two people, two families, and two beautiful cultures coming together as one.
